Volunteering at Into the Trees is a great way to experience our camping weekend for free and to be part of a dynamic and creative team. Many of our volunteers are parents and we work hard to make the volunteering experience fit with the requirements of being a parent. Into the Trees is a rather special little event. We take real pride in crafting a magical weekend that is inspiring, safe, exciting and diverse. It takes a lot of planning to keep everything running smoothly and all of our customers safe and happy, but we couldn’t do any of it without YOU – our wonderful volunteers.

The volunteering experience at Into the Trees is quite relaxed and different to that at our sister festival, Elderflower Fields, for those who may have volunteered there in the past.

Times, Shifts & Roles

We ask that volunteers commit to being on site from midday on Friday 8th September through to 6pm Sunday 10th September, unless otherwise agreed. This may mean you need to arrange some time off work or college.

We ask volunteers to complete two or three short shifts over the course of the weekend. These are normally 3 or 4 hours long. We will aim to confirm the shift rota a week or two prior to the event.

Generally, we ask everyone to do at least one general stewarding shift, which means roaming the site and keeping an eye on things. We might ask you to help the team in the Info Tent or on the ticketing / car parking. We also need people to help manage the camp fires in the evenings.

As a volunteer at Into the Trees, you and your kids get free entry (obviously), plenty of time to relax and enjoy the event and we’ll give you a free hot meal once per day (normally in the evening). We can also offer a discounted weekend ticket to non-volunteering partners.

You’ll be camping in the general public campsite with access to loos, showers and sinks. If you plan to bring a live-in vehicle, you must let us know on the application form as spaces are limited.

Most importantly, you’ll help create an amazing experience for all the families, experience great camaraderie, learn lots and have a really fun few days.

Bringing your family

Children of volunteers are welcome to join you at Into the Trees, free of charge. Please indicate on the application form the names and ages of children you plan to bring. You must arrange suitable child care for the times that you are on shift. If you would like to bring your partner and they do not want to, or aren’t able to volunteer, they must buy a ticket, but we will be able to give you a discounted rate. Will will send a code for discounted tickets to volunteers once your application has been accepted.
